  2. Provide or purchase tertiary-type courses which will better meet students’ needs, which will motivate them to achieve, and which will facilitate their smooth transition to further education, training or employment Support students to explore career pathways, and help them make informed decisions about their schooling and future work or study.
  3. Gain credits from Unit standards based courses offered by outside providers. Eg. Ucol, Mara Training, Land Based Training
  4. Support and encourage Maori and Pacific Island students get a taste of tertiary education
  5. Provide avenues for Maori and Pasifika students eg. In the Performing Arts
  6. Provide support for students to attend Open Days at tertiary providers outside of Palmerston North – eg. Queenstown Resort College, Auckland University, Victoria University.
