Football at PNBHS

PNBHS has historically had a strong football fraternity and this has continued on in 2010 with 16 teams fielded in the local secondary and Manawatu men's grade competitions in 2010. Our junior teams are organised so both Year 9 and Year 10 boys play together in the local under 14 competitions. We also field a special Under 14 team for inter-school fixtures. Our senior teams are involved in all three of the under 19 competitions. PNBHS football teams are competitive and offer grassroots training and opportunities for all boys. PNBHS has two senior teams, the 1st and 2nd XI, that compete outside of the normal secondary school structure. This enables our tall poppies to compete in a more challenging sporting environment.
