Ensuring the wellbeing of our young men is a key component of our School Vision – to develop educated men of outstanding character – as young men whose pastoral needs are met, are able to concentrate on earning the best academic qualification they can and developing their character.

Developing Young Men

We strongly believe that it is our purpose to develop outstanding young men who can make a positive contribution to New Zealand’s future. In order to do this we focus on not only academic achievement, but character development. Student leadership skills are developed through a structured programme offered at all year levels.

Co-curricular

At Palmerston North Boys’ High School we are proud to point out that in excess of 90% of our young men are engaged in any of our 57 co-curricular activities.

Shand Shield

The Shand Shield was introduced to Palmerston North Boys’ High School to foster team spirit and broaden responsibility for school sport.

All Palmerston North Boys’ High School uniform requirements are available from the School’s Uniform Shop, situated on the school grounds by the Speirs Centre and Ian Colquhoun Memorial Hall.
