When is your Enrolment Period?

Our Enrolment period for 2018 enrolments is from 8:00am Monday 24 July, 2017 and closes 4:00pm Monday 4 September, 2017.

This Enrolment Period applies to both in-zone and out-of-zone enrolments.

What documentation do I need to bring with the enrolment forms?

The following documents are required:

  • All applications must provide proof of student’s age – a copy of Birth Certificate or Passport.
  • If living IN ZONE – a copy of proof of address (recent Electricity account or Rates statement) must be provided.
  • If not born in New Zealand – a copy of student’s Passport and Visa is also required, showing current residency status.
Where can I get a Prospectus & Enrolment Forms from?

Our 2018 Prospectus and Enrolment Forms for Year 9 students will ONLY be available from any of the following:

    • DOWNLOAD: You can download our 2018 Prospectus and Enrolment Forms for Year 9 students from 8:00am on Monday 24 July until 4:00pm Monday 4 September 2017 by CLICKING HERE.
    • COLLECT: You can collect our 2018 Prospectus and Enrolment Forms for Year 9 students from 8:00am on Monday 24 July from the School Office and closes at 4:00pm Monday 4 September 2017.
    • OPEN DAY: Our 2018 Prospectus and Enrolment Forms for Year 9 students will be handed out at our Open Day on Thursday 3 August in the Speirs Centre.
When will I hear if my son has been accepted?

Acceptance letters will be posted on Monday 11 September, 2017.

What if my son is a late enrolment?

Your son will be placed on a ‘late enrolment waiting list’ while the roll is being confirmed by the Rector. You will be notified within a reasonable period of time if your son has been accepted.

When is your Open Day?

The School Open Day was on Thursday 3 August, 2017.

When are your testing days?

Tuesday 17 October 2017
9am – 12 noon
Palmerston North Intermediate Normal Students only.
Please be at PNBHS by 8.50am.

Wednesday 18 October 2017
12 noon – 3pm
All Country Schools, Bulls, Levin, Carncot Independent, Cornerstone Christian, Dannevirke, Wanganui, TKKM, all other out of town students and all College House students
Please be at PNBHS by 11.50am.

Thursday 19 October 2017
9am – 12 noon
Ross Intermediate, Monrad Intermediate, Ashhurst School, Whakarongo School, Roslyn School, Takaro School and Feilding Intermediate students.
Please be at PNBHS by 8.50am.

How much is the School Donation?

The School Donation for 2018 is $350.

Do you have scholarships to attend your school?

No, we do not offer scholarships.

What are the 2018 Term Dates?

How do we get our son's uniform?

All New Entrants are required to attend a 30 minute appointment to purchase their School Uniform. Bookings are to be made through our booking website (after your son has been accepted): http://www.pnbhs.gettimely.com/book

Bookings will be available on first come, first served basis, so please ensure you book your appointment as soon as you are able.

The booking website will open at 9:00am on Monday 2 October 2017.

If no appointment is required (i.e. already have a uniform from old brother), please advise the Uniform Shop and include the student’s name:

Appointments are available at the following times:
Wednesday 1 November – Friday 1 December 2017: 3:30pm – 6:00pm
Tuesday 9 January – Friday 19 January 2018: 10:00am – 2:00pm & 3:00pm – 6:00pm

Payment must be made at the time of the appointment with cash, cheque, EFTPOS, MasterCard or Visa. We are not able to charge to school accounts.

When fitting the students, staff will make allowance for two years growth.

A representative from The Athlete’s Foot will be available on site from Tuesday 9 January – Friday 19 January 2018 to help with any footwear queries and sales.

A representative from The Athlete’s Foot will also be available on site from Tuesday 23 January – Friday 26 January 2018 from 9:00am – 2:00pm or all current PNBHS students’ footwear queries and sales.

What is the cost of the uniform?

As a guideline, the approximate cost of a uniform is $350 – $500 for a Day Student and $950 – $1200 for a College House Student.

We have limited second-hand uniforms available.

My son has applied for the Sports Development Programme. Will he get a trial?

All students who applied for the Sports Development Programme will be trialled. Please see our Sports Development Programme page here for more details.
